To Our Patients,

We understand and deeply respect that you may be concerned about coronavirus in public places, even at our state-of-the-art sterilized office.

Our first priority is always the health and well-being of our patients. And that is a priority we take extremely seriously, even with the current disruptions we’re all experiencing.

It has been a very difficult decision, but we have decided that it is in the best interest of our community, our team, and our patients that we not see regular patients until at least Monday, April 6, 2020.

If you do have a dental emergency, we are here and will be here and happy to help you. Please call us at 603-546-7460.

This is just one more way that we can show our high level of care for you … and for everyone in our community. We very much look forward to seeing you, your family, and your friends very soon.

As always, if you have any questions, please call our office at 603-546-7460.

Sincerely,
Dr. James Kiehl

Reasons You May Lose A Tooth And Need A Dental Bridge

October 18, 2017
Bridges vs. Implants: Which Is The Winner For You? | Nashua Family Dentistry, Nashua NH

We understand better than most how much a severely damaged or missing tooth can affect your oral function and confidence. If you’d like to restore your strong bite and dazzling smile by filling the gap in your teeth with a beautiful dental bridge, call Nashua Family Dentistry at 603-546-7460 today!

At our Nashua, NH dentist office, Dr. James E. Kiehl, Dr. Stephen A. Cohen, and our talented team of dental professionals offer comprehensive dentistry services for patients of all ages, including strong, beautiful restorative dentistry options.

Even one missing tooth can have some pretty serious implications for your quality of life. But with our help, you’ll be able to turn back the clock on your damaged smile so you can:

  • Go out to eat with friends and loved ones without worrying if there will be something you can chew in comfort
  • Feel more confident when you are making a first impression or even meeting a blind date
  • Chew your food without carefully monitoring and controlling the area of your mouth you are biting and grinding with
  • Experience a boost to your overall self-esteem
  • Consume healthy but hard-to-chew foods like crisp apples, crunchy carrots, and chewy lean jerky

So you don’t have to add major financial concerns on top of the stress you’re feeling due to your damaged smile, we accept a variety of payments, including third-party financing plans. Don’t wait to repair your smile!

Know Tooth Loss Causes And What Dental Bridges Can Do

You may think that the majority of the time when a tooth is lost that the situation could not be avoided. While that could be true in certain instances, it’s definitely not always the case.

Sure, you could accidentally knock out or severely damage a tooth to the point that it could not be repaired. You could be walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night and trip over a toy left out by your young child or go stumbling over the family dog. Sometimes freak accidents occur, that’s true.

But there are also situations that could be prevented. For example, if you or a loved one like to engage in certain physical activities, a dental injury could easily occur. But by visiting our office for a custom athletic mouthguard, you could avoid this situation. Some contact sports like football and boxing require mouthguards but here are a few other activities that you should consider wearing a mouthguard during:

  • Gymnastics
  • Extreme sports, like skateboarding
  • Basketball
  • Hockey
  • Racquetball
  • Skiing
  • Snowboarding

Neglected oral hygiene could also eventually lead to tooth loss.

For instance, you could develop a cavity. The pain from it is noticeable but definitely bearable. You’re really busy so you decide to wait to take care of it. Eventually, the cavity grows to the point that you need a root canal. You’ve heard a lot of urban myths about root canals, so you avoid the problem. Before you know it, the pain is too much and you visit your dentist, only to learn it’s too late and the tooth will need to be extracted.

A tooth could also be lost due to a problem that doesn’t necessarily begin with your tooth but with your gums instead. If you don’t maintain good oral hygiene and regular dental cleanings and exams, you could become one of the millions of Americans with gum disease. Left unchecked, the infection could spread throughout your mouth and lead to tooth loss.

Regardless of how or why you lose a tooth, we can fix the problem for you. We will review your treatment options and explain the steps for each so you can make an informed decision.

So long as your jaw and the teeth surrounding the gap are healthy and strong, a dental bridge is typically a great option for replacing one or multiple adjacent missing teeth. Depending on your situation, we can even attach a dental bridge to dental implants for a convincing feel and powerful hold.

We will do everything we can to make your restorative procedure as comfortable as possible. We even offer dental sedation options to put you at ease and relieve your dental anxiety. If there’s anything we can do to improve your visit, just let us know!

Book a dental bridge consultation at Nashua Family Dentistry today to take the first step to getting your full smile and set of strong chompers back! An amazing dentist, with a staff full of people who genuinely care about you. My most recent experience, I forgot to have a very important form filled out (requirement for those in the NG) and they went through HOOPS to get my form filled out and returned to me. I can’t recommend them enough!
